About Us

OUR STORY …

A young gentleman from Zahle, Lebanon came to Cincinnati in search of the American Dream. For Andy Hajjar, it didn’t take too many months of American cuisine for him to crave his family’s native Mediterranean cooking. When his mother, Teresa, and brother, Majed, moved to Cincinnati, they helped Andy create Andy’s Deli in the Walnut Hills neighborhood.

The small corner store quickly grew as Andy, with brother Majed, infused the establishment with authentic family recipes developed and lovingly served for generations. Andy transformed the once modest neighborhood deli into a fun and funky restaurant offering unique Mediterranean dishes with his own personal touch. Best of all, Andy’s tasty creations are handmade from only the freshest ingredients.

Today, the Hajjars are proud to serve the most authentic and traditional Middle Eastern cuisine available in the Tri-State. Receive a warm welcome from Andy himself as soon as you enter the cozy restaurant to begin your meal. Complete your dining experience with dessert and Lebanese coffee or enjoy on final Middle Eastern tradition in the form of a relaxing smoking pipe.

Enjoy the finest Middle Eastern cooking from our family to yours!

Originally opening as a deli in the late ’90s before becoming a restaurant, Andy’s is the creation of brothers Majed and “Big Andy” Hajjar, natives of Zahle, Lebanon. Located in a quaint deli-style storefront, Andy’s manages to pack a lot of character into a compact but cozy amount of space, plus an enclosed, heated patio suitable for both winter and summertime dining. A flat-screen TV visible from everywhere but the patio is a nice diversion for the eyes.

Delving into the restaurant’s true character, however, requires only a simple look around at the various Mediterranean-themed ations, art and images adding to Andy’s laid-back yet sophisticated atmosphere. Enhancing that atmosphere is Andy’s collection of bottles of wine directly across from the bar, right next to its unique collection of hookahs (smoking pipes used for enjoying various flavored tobaccos after your meal). Andy’s also hosts a weekly ladies’ night with live music and has belly dancers on weekends, so you might get a meal and a show if you’re lucky.
